San Miguel Power Association, Inc. (SMPA) is seeking to fill two Journey Line Technician positions.  One position will report to our office in Telluride.  The other position will report to our Ridgway location.  The successful applicants will report to the Operations Manager.  SMPA is a non-profit electric cooperative with an 80-year record of service to our membership.


Minimum requirements include:  A High School diploma or equivalent.  Must have completed a valid four-year Apprenticeship Program recognized by the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Labor. Employee must be able to read, write and evaluate situations.  Demonstrates a working knowledge in distribution, transmission, and substation, underground and overhead installations, methods, and procedures.  Requires working knowledge of all Regulatory Compliance, DOT and Safety Procedures.  Must represent the co-op in a progressive, positive, and professional manner in all relationships, both internal and external.  Must possess strong computer skills in relation to the position.  Must possess a valid Class A, Colorado driver’s license.  San Miguel Power has a 4-10 work schedule and offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
